Dining Tables
Table and console tops cut to your shape and your edge profile, in the same stones as the kitchen. Heavy, flat, and made to be eaten off rather than looked after.
A stone table top is the piece people notice first and touch most. It can be cut square, with rounded ends, as an oval, or to a shape you draw on the floor, and because it comes off the same slabs as the worktops it can carry the kitchen material down to the dining end of the room.
Two things decide whether a stone table works: the base and the weight. Stone is heavy, so the frame has to suit the size and the overhang, and we will say plainly if the one you have in mind does not. We cut to a base you already own or to one being made for you, and we make the top rather than the frame. Thickness, edge profile and how far the top oversails all get settled at the template.
Size has a ceiling, and it is the slab. Beyond it a top needs a joint, and a joint in a table is always visible, because there is nothing for it to hide behind. Where a top is close to the limit we would rather talk about the shape than promise a seam nobody can see.
What we make
One team runs the job from first measurement to final fit.
Cut to your shape
Rectangles, rounded ends, ovals and one-off shapes, cut to a template so the curve is the one you drew.
Edges that suit the room
A pencil edge for something quiet, a moulded profile, or a mitred edge that reads thicker without the weight.
Matched to the kitchen
Where the table and the worktops share a room, we plan both together so the stone agrees across the space.
On your base or a new one
We cut to a frame you already have, or to one being made for you. Tell us the base and we work to it.
The materials
Marble, quartz, granite and porcelain, with more available on request. Not sure what suits you? We will tell you the truth, not just what is easiest to sell.
See the stone in your own kitchen
We bring the samples to you and look at them in your own light, at no charge. If something suits the room better than what you had in mind, we will say so.
